What is recurring invoicing?

Recurring invoicing bills the same customer the same amount on a schedule, such as a monthly retainer, a rental, a maintenance contract or a subscription, without you creating each invoice. In Bookkeeping & Invoicing, recurring invoices are issued and emailed for you on schedule on the Intermediate and Pro plans, each one a proper numbered tax invoice, with reminders that chase late payers.

Recurring invoices, payment reminders and pay-now buttons come with the Intermediate and Pro plans of Bookkeeping & Invoicing. No setup fee, month to month. Free trial: 7 days and 20 quotes or invoices, no card, on the Intermediate features.

How recurring
invoices work.

Who it suits

Bookkeepers and consultants on retainers, landlords, security and cleaning contracts, IT support, gyms and studios, and anyone who bills the same customers every month.

Each one is a real tax invoice

A recurring invoice is not a copy: each one gets the next number in your sequence, your registration numbers, and VAT worked out the way a SARS tax invoice needs it. Once issued it is locked; a mistake is fixed with a credit note.

Reminders that do the chasing

Switch reminders on and they go out 3 days before the due date, on the day, and 7 and 14 days after, so you stop being the one who has to ask. A statement shows each customer what is outstanding.

Changing a contract

When the amount changes, change the schedule: the next invoice uses the new amount, and the ones already issued stay as they were.
