DoubleDown AI — written Double Down AI often enough that it is worth saying once — is a South African artificial intelligence company built around one idea: a business should be able to buy working automation the way it buys anything else. Pick it, pay for it, use it. Not a discovery call, a proposal and six weeks.
We are an AI automation agency in South Africa only in the sense that agencies are what this market has. In practice we are a product company. There are ten systems in the roster — a website agent, an email agent, campaigns, lead generation, booking, invoicing, property marketing, websites and bespoke builds — and most of them go live within thirty minutes of signup during business hours. Website design and custom AI are scoped per job because they have to be, and property firm automation takes three business days.
The name is the strategy. Innovate, because copying is not an advantage. Automate, because time is the one thing you cannot buy more of. Dominate, because in almost every industry the business that answers first wins the customer.
Who is Duval van Staden
Duval van Staden is the co-founder and CEO of DoubleDown AI. He started the company in Vanderbijlpark in January 2026 and leads engineering and product — the automation spine every client system runs on, the ten products in the roster, and the decision to publish every price on this website instead of hiding it behind a sales call.
That last one is a deliberate position rather than a marketing line. Most South African AI and web suppliers will not tell you what anything costs until you have given them your number. Every price we charge is on the pricing page, in rands, including the setup fees. Who is Dantus van Staden
Dantus van Staden is the co-founder and CTO. He leads client delivery and partnerships: making sure a system that works in a build actually works inside somebody's business, and running the partner programme that puts DoubleDown AI products in front of businesses we would never reach directly.
The two founders share a surname and are frequently assumed to be brothers. They are not — Duval and Dantus are business partners and co founders, and both are directors of record of the registered company. Between them the split is simple: one builds it, one makes sure it lands.
Is DoubleDown AI a real, registered company?
Yes, and because that question gets asked before somebody pays, here is the answer with the paperwork rather than a promise. DoubleDown AI (Pty) Ltd is a private company registered with the CIPC, registration number 2026/041829/07, registered on 16 January 2026. The two directors are named above.

One thing we will not do is pretend to be older than we are. We registered in January 2026, so if you are looking for a decade of reviews you will not find one here. What you can check instead is the registration number, the address, the named directors, and the fact that every price and every contract term is published before you pay anything. No contract is required for any product — month to month, cancel at the end of a paid month.
Where we are, and who we work with
We are an AI company in Vanderbijlpark, which makes us the AI company for the Vaal Triangle — Vereeniging, Sasolburg, Sebokeng and the rest of Sedibeng — in a market where almost every competitor is branded Johannesburg or Cape Town. As an AI company in Gauteng we are twenty minutes from the industrial south of the province and deploy remotely everywhere else.
Remotely is not a compromise here; it is the whole delivery model. A client in Upington gets the same thirty-minute window, the same support line and the same price as one in Sandton. We work across all nine provinces and in all eleven official languages, and everything is billed in rand pricing so a currency move does not change your invoice.
On data: systems are built to POPIA principles — consent, retention windows, opt-out and audit logs. Where is your data stored? Client records sit in our managed Postgres in the EU (Frankfurt) with encrypted transport, and conversation data is retained on the window you choose. We do not sell client data and we do not train public models on it. The privacy policy and data rights pages spell out the detail.
