Export what you have
Export your customers, items, suppliers and open invoices from QuickBooks as CSV or Excel. At setup, Bookkeeping & Invoicing reads them in: open invoices keep their own numbers and your opening balances go in on the day you start.
Start on a clean date
Switch at the start of a VAT period or a financial year so each period lives in one system, and keep read access to the old file: SARS can ask for your records for five years.
Your accountant keeps working
Your accountant gets their own free login. If they prefer their own software, the year-end pack includes journal files laid out for Xero, QuickBooks and Sage Pastel.
When QuickBooks may suit you better
If you need a large app marketplace, consolidations across many entities, or your accountant works only in QuickBooks, an international suite can be the better fit. For a South African small business that quotes, invoices, pays a few people and files with SARS, you do not need to pay for that.
