1. A list you may email
Section 69 of POPIA allows electronic marketing to people who consented, or to your existing customers for similar products when you gave them a chance to opt out. Bought lists fail both tests. Read the POPIA email marketing rules.
2. Authentication
SPF, DKIM and DMARC prove your mail comes from your domain. Gmail and Yahoo expect them, and a one-click unsubscribe, from anyone who sends in bulk.
3. Something worth opening
One clear message per email, a subject line that says what is inside, and a single next step. A/B subject-line tests show which wording your list opens.
4. Segments and automations
Send each group what is relevant to it, and let welcome and follow-up sequences run on their own.
5. Measure
Opens, clicks and replies per campaign tell you what to send next. Unsubscribes and complaints tell you what to stop.
